EVgo operates 1,179 DC fast charging stations across the United States, representing 1.4% of all public charging stations. Unlike networks that mix Level 2 and DC fast chargers, EVgo focuses almost exclusively on high-speed DC fast charging — 4,916 of its 5,068 ports deliver 50 kW to 350 kW. EVgo stations are commonly located at grocery stores, retail centers, and highway stops. The network uses CCS and CHAdeMO connectors, with newer stations adding NACS for Tesla compatibility. How Much Does EVgo Cost?

EVgo offers pay-as-you-go charging at $0.31 to $0.43 per kWh depending on location. EVgo Plus membership ($6.99/month) reduces per-kWh rates by about $0.04. Some locations charge a session fee of $0.99 to $1.99. Idle fees apply after charging completes to keep stations available. EVgo also partners with GM (Ultium Charge 360), Nissan, and Subaru for bundled charging credits with new EV purchases. Compare pricing across networks in our EV charging costs guide.

What Connector Does EVgo Use?

EVgo stations use CCS (Combined Charging System) as the primary connector, compatible with most non-Tesla EVs. Most stations also include a CHAdeMO connector. EVgo is actively adding NACS (Tesla-compatible) connectors to its network. Power levels range from 50 kW at older stations to 350 kW at newer high-power installations. The EVgo app shows real-time availability, connector types, and pricing before you arrive.
