ChargePoint is the largest EV charging network in the United States by station count, with 46,758 stations spanning all 50 states. The network is predominantly Level 2 — 80,197 ports at workplaces, apartment complexes, retail centers, hotels, and municipal lots — with 4,682 DC fast ports concentrated along major highway corridors.

Unlike Tesla and Electrify America, ChargePoint uses a host-owned model: property owners purchase and install the chargers, while ChargePoint provides networking, payment processing, and the driver-facing app. That model is what drives the large station count and the heavy skew toward workplaces and multifamily housing rather than highway DC fast. See the connector types guide for J1772/CCS details, or visit the main ChargePoint network page for pricing, app setup, and reliability data.
